April 01, 2004 02:19 +0000  |  Nifty Links Why I'm Here 10

according to monster's short quiz (courtesy of smyli) my personality type is best suited to one of the following:
  • Special education teacher
  • Alcohol and drug addiction counsellor
  • Universal design architect
  • Holistic health practitioner
  • Diversity manager / trainer
  • Speech / language pathologist
  • Career counsellor
  • Therapist
  • Director of religious education
  • Editor / art director
  • Writer
and while i can't say that i feel like i fit well into any of the above, i have to say that i feel like a major part of "me" is missing on my current path... i just have no idea where to go to find the right one...

I thought you said you were an Enfj, not Infj. I'm and INFJ, and I got the exact same results that you did. The results for ENFJ are:

Advertising account executive
Magazine editor
Therapist
Career or outplacement counsellor
Corporate trainer
Bilingual education teacher
Professor: humanities
Fund- raiser
TV producer
Occupational therapist
Holistic health practitioner
Marketing executive
Writer / journalist
Social worker
Human resources professional

Do those suit you better?

actually, yes.
when i realised that there were only 4 questions on the test, i just went over the whole thing and tried to recreate from memory what i'd gotten last time it took the test. guess i was a bit off ;-)

no offense taken, i've never seen myself as a manager-type either. creative lead maybe (actually done that before and liked it) but bureaucratic manager type? ew.

I guess Jeannie and I are INFJ's, what are you Noreen? I actually love the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), I find it eerily accurate. :)

my code is ENFP (Extravert, Intuitive, Feeler, Perceiver). what's the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)?

it's a big long-assed test that breaks your whole self into 4 parts and gives it an acronym. think of the monster test, but really long, like you'd see on the spark or something. the tests we had to take in school for aptitude were a lot like it too.
