for those of you who don't know, the flq was (and apparently still is) a terrorist cell / liberation army (depending on your point of view) that reached its highpoint of media publicity in Trudeau's years as prime minister when they kidnapped an english speaking politician who later appeared dead in the trunk of a car. Trudeau then in his now famous "just watch me" speech declared martial law and under the war measures act rounded up a whole bunch of the suspected purpotrators.

years past and many of the "revolutionaries" decided that politics are more their bag and can now be found running the show behind the scenes under the name "bloc quebecquois".

all that said however, it would seem that some still long for good ol' days of thoughtless violence. this was spraypainted on a brick wall along a fairly popular street in downtown montreal.
