That was pretty cool.

Due to my recent allergy testing, I've been getting myself acquainted with the mirriad of things containing corn...

As a result I was pointed to a documentary called King Corn which I think you should see.

Two guys who just graduated from college decide to take one acre of farmland in Iowa and plant a crop of corn to see the process of growing it, and then try to follow the possible places their corn could end up. They're very tongue-in-cheek in their presentation, and there's one scene where the farmer who owns the fields shows them the first weed to be found in their acre... it's actual weed. *g*

It doesn't go into the millions of things corn is used in (food in many forms, High Fructose Corn Syrup or HFCS, ethanol, plastic containers... the list goes on and on and on) but it does illuminate the why behind these uses.
