Exercise a little political slieght of hand and distract the proletariat with something (e.g. same sex marriage) and you can get away with murder. sadly, i'm not surprised by this. but for me, i've never much cared if we signed on "on the qt" as you put it. for me, public appearances are more important at the moment. Canada has to be seen as not approving of something like this publically because it really is a terrible idea. if however, we have to be part of it legally to maintain a seat at norad, i'm not pleased, but i understand.
does that make sense?
